Police: 2 DC shootings just blocks & minutes apart

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. police are investigating two separate shootings that happened within blocks of each other.

The first shooting happened in the 1200 block of Barnaby Terrace in Southeast. 

Police say an adult male was shot in the chest. The victim is in stable condition, officials said.

The second shooting happened in the 1300 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast. 

Police say an adult female was shot in the leg and she is reported to be in stable condition. Officers are looking for a white sports car with two occupants.

Investigators are also looking into the possibility that the shootings could be related because they happened blocks and minutes apart.
